Buying a CPAP Machine in Pakistan: A Practical Checklist
What actually matters when choosing a CPAP machine — condition, prescription fit, brand, and the questions worth asking before you buy.

Choosing a CPAP machine is easier when you know which questions to ask rather than which model to memorise. This checklist consolidates the most common questions people ask before buying, in one place, rather than across several overlapping articles. 1. Do you have a prescription or sleep study result?
A CPAP machine is normally configured to a pressure setting from a prescription or sleep study. If you have one, share it with the team so the machine can be set up correctly. 2. New, used, or refurbished?
CPAP Pakistan offers all three conditions. None is automatically the "safe" choice or the "risky" choice — it depends on your budget and what's currently available. Ask the team directly what condition options exist for a given machine before deciding.
3. Which brand?
CPAP Pakistan supplies ResMed and Philips machines. Both are internationally recognised CPAP manufacturers. 4. Fixed-pressure or Auto (APAP)?
Fixed-pressure machines deliver one constant pressure set by your prescription. Auto-adjusting (APAP) machines vary pressure within a prescribed range through the night. Which is appropriate for you is a prescriber's decision, not a preference — if you're not sure which you have or need, ask the team or your doctor.
5. Buy outright, or start with rental?
If you're not certain a CPAP is the right long-term fit yet, monthly rental is a lower-commitment way to start, from approximately PKR 8,000/month. Many people use rental as a trial period before deciding to buy.
6. What about delivery and setup?
CPAP Pakistan delivers nationwide and configures the machine to your prescription on arrival. Ask about delivery timing and setup when you enquire. If you're near one of the physical offices in Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad, the local team can also talk you through delivery and setup in person.
